Youth Leadership (Rising Stars)

The Rising Stars process is designed to help today?�s youth develop their personal leadership skills and begin to set goals and directions for their lives. Leadership is essential in enabling youth to develop character and confidence, and understand their values to promote an understanding of healthy behavior.

Research shows that the majority of youth today engage in health-compromising behavior. It also tells us that employers rank leadership as one of the essential skills entry-level workers lack. Other missing skills include:

Strong work ethic
Problem solving skills
Creativity
Organizational and interpersonal skills
